TOP 7 PLACES I’D LIKE TO VISIT (in the Harry Potter world) ϟ

#1 → Hogwarts.Well, I think it was obvious. Hogwarts is my home, our home. We all belong there and as my home, I’d love to visit it, to actually live and die there. I’d never have enough time to discover all Hogwarts, it’s so huge and there are so many things so see. For me, Hogwarts it always have been the synonim of magic. Everything irradiates magic, every place, every object, every person, everything. I have special interest in the kitchen, as has never been described in the books and all the secret passages. And… it’s Hogwarts. Words never will be enough to describe it.

#2 → Godric’s Hollow. It definetely would be the most emotional places to visit. Being a proud Gryffindor as I am, I’d love to visit the place where the founder of my house was born. I’d be magical, like all the journey completed, I don’t know how to say it. And being attract to the Marauders as I am and loving Lily and James as much as I love them… Godric’s Hollow is like a compulsory place to visit. I’d probably cry a lot in front of their house, with that beautiful monument that wasn’t shown in the movies. So I pick Godric’s Hollow as the second place mainly because of the emotional power it has for me. And also because it’s the place where everything started.

#3 → The Burrow. After reading all the books and all the descriptions JK made about the Burrow during the years, I think every Potterhead wants to visit it, me included. When I think about the Burrow I think about magic. Everything is so full of magic, every object, every room, every person who lived there, everything. After reading the Chamber of Secrets I fall in love with the Weasley clock, it’s probably my favourite thing in all the house and I’d love to have one of those. Also, when I read about the Burrow I feel at home, the home I always wanted to have but never had, the home I’d like to have in the future.

#4 → Shrieking Shack. I’d love to visit this place basicaly for its meaning. For me, the Shrieking Shack it’s the marauders place. I always thought they all lived their time at Hogwarts a bit around this place. Remus for obvious reasons, and James, Sirius and Peter… well, I think their friendship was so strong because of Remus (at least right after they discovered he was a werewolf). So yes, even if I’d cry uncontrollably while visiting it, my love for the marauders is too strong to not include the Shrieking Shack in this list. Also it was the place when it died one of the most important characters in the story, and even if I don’t like him a lot, the death of Snape make this place a bit more important too.

#5 → Diagon Alley. I’d be the happiest person in the world visiting Diagon Alley, not necessary to buy things, just to walk and visit all the shops and see the awesome things each one have. All the best wizard shops are there. I don’t think it’s really necessary to explain why I love this place, I mean, just read through the descriptions JK wrote, expecially in the first book. The shop I’d be happier to visit would be Flourish and Blotts, whitout any doubt, I’m sure I’d spend hours there (I’d buy everything if I had enough Galeons). And the second one would be Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes, and then probably all the Quidditch shops.

#6 → Ministry of MagicI always saw the Ministry of Magic as this huge place from where the wizarding world is runned and most of the time I had a lot of respect for it, more to the place itself than to the kind of politics it was done. In some ways, I have the feeling is a little bit like Hogwarts, full of surprises and amazing things to discover and see. I’d love to visit the Aurors office, the Wizengamot, the Department of Magical Games and Sports and the Department of Mysteries. I love the description J.K made of it in the OotP too.

#7 → Grimmauld Place, 12. I have a lot of feelings towards Grimmauld Place and I always feel quite curious about it. Mainly because it was Sirius home while he was a child, but it’s one of the few wizard houses J.K described during the seven books, so it’s interesting all what she says about it. I always felt that Grimmauld Place was between the past and the present. While you read the scenes that take place there, it always appear something from the past  and it’s like you can smell the past in its walls and this… attract me.
